ЯКОВ.
Yakov Yurovsky as he is portrayed in the Netflix Docudrama
The Last Czars - a medic in WW1 who ultimately becomes the head guard of the Romanovs and director of their executions. Generally an introverted, very serious person, a man who gives the impression of carrying the weight of the world on his shoulders, bitter and disillusioned—but capable of a remarkable gentleness and compassion, even after years of nonstop inundation with human suffering that would have brought most aid workers to compassion fatigue. Respected by the men as a de facto leader, he ultimately finds himself at the center of a mutiny against his commanding officer, and that mutiny becomes desertion. He is driven to Bolshevism by pain, horror, anger, and disgust with the injustices and pointless suffering that surround him - and he's reached a point at which what he has to potentially lose is nothing compared to what he and the rest of Russia could gain.
